* Contribution to the messageboard throughout the last week

Side note: Does anyone have the original Disney Cinderella on DVD? It would be greatly appreciated if we could borrow this for Friday and Monday.

2. A heads up on the new Enchantment page on our Wiki.
3. A glance at the /DisneyComparison wiki page
4. Look at a few of the class's notes on the readings

Sherene's Note
5. An overview of the messageboard and the successes! Great job everyone!

A Listing of On-Going Assignments

1) Keep up with the readings of Enchantment as listed on the sidebar. Keep up with summaries on your wiki page /EnchantmentQuiz. I have also set up a page for a collaborative project that will be part of your grades in which you will (as a class) make use of the wiki and wiki-ize the readings through a set-up page on our wiki: /EnchantmentSummaries. Please read the directions and begin working through the characters and summaries.

2) Keep reading Bettelheim outside of class and in your personal wiki pages and write down your notes. Also, utilize the CAL messageboard for discussion in and out of class. I will be looking at those students who take the articles serious enough to discuss possible points or odd claims. Be sure to have your name in the CAL messageboard at least 4 times in response or commenting. I am looking for participation in this project.

The CAL Dialogue Message Board

Today we will begin the introduction to the messageboard for our next project.

We have read The Grimm's Cinderella, Jack Zipes article, and will have started Bruno Bettelheims by today. My hope is that you will have a basic knowledge of what some scholars have claimed to be the uses for Fairy Tales.

Later this week we will watch Disney's Cinderella in class. I am hoping to bring up some serious discussion in the messageboard that you will be able to utilize in your project.

First, I will ask you to discuss the different responses you had after reading Jack Zipes' article. Through the week we will be working in the messageboard and continuing the research through the wiki to collect our thoughts.

Remember to keep your /EnchantmentQuiz updated - as I will be looking at these pages off and on to make sure the reading is being done. Summarize as each due date comes along.
